While many young men grow up holding to be half the man as their father, I on the other hand want no parts of him. He was irresponsible, liar, reckless, an alcoholic, short, and unsuccessful. I swore to never be like him. To this day, making remarks that I’m just like my father is the equivalent of a heavy insult. Therefore, that is moy worst fear… Becoming a loser like my dad. The scary thing about this is that as I get older and experience some disappointments, I can understand why he may have done the things that he did.
